NPD Nurse Educator - Labor & Delivery and Postpartum

Responsibilities

• Facilitate adult learning by designing educational programs to address practice gaps identified through needs assessments
• Act as a change agent to improve healthcare processes and practices
• Mentor and contribute to the professional growth of healthcare staff
• Lead and influence inter-professional practice and learning environments
• Promote scientific inquiry by encouraging evidence-based practice and knowledge dissemination
• Support practice transitions and foster a culture of lifelong learning

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Current nursing license in Texas
• Basic Life Support certification
• NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator preferred
• Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience with adult education application in hospital or academic settings
