Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical, mechanical and/or non-metallic design content with data based justifications
- Consistently develops designs through a detailed understanding of WIEC manufacturing capabilities and best practices into design decisions
- Develop and maintain technical relationships with suppliers
- Advanced understanding of GD&T requirements and manufacturing process capabilities for execution of designs
- Detailed understanding and a technical authority for 5-7 key cab main component design areas
- Cooking, fabricating, and build of cab prototypes and pre-production units
- Provide concise and effective technical guidance and communication to customers; builds effective technical communication paths with customers
- Ensure designs meet all relevant industry standards and codes
- Document all design decisions with appropriate justification in design files
- Lead design reviews and support justification for design decisions
- Contribute to design
- Lead root cause analyses processes for effective problem definition and development of corrective actions
- Translate end-user functional requirements into product specifications
- Proactively identify and mitigate design risks prior to prototype and pre-production builds
- Develop design recommendations and provide fact based justifications to internal and external customers
- Accurate designs meeting our customers needs (both internal and external)
- Accurate and complete design files / records
- Accurate build drawings
- Maintain all due dates

Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required
- 3-5 years relevant work experience, with demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge in respective area – Including:
- Advanced design ability of new design work for release of several major projects cleanly into production
- Evidence of clean design files and budget control
- Evidence of proficiency in performing engineering calculations
- Proficient with Pro-Engineer, Solid Works, or similar 3D modeling software
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
