About the role
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. They provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, depending on their area of expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
- Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, depending on their area of expertise.
- Works independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Establishes and enhances positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
- Works in a fast-paced, acute walk-in care setting with a 1:1 provider to staff ratio.
- May be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Licensure/Certifications Required: Current NP/PA licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin, current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and current certification in CPR.
- National certification, in applicable area, required.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Schedule
9 am – 8 pm Monday – Friday; 8am – 6pm Saturday – Sunday
