NP/PA - Orthopedic Trauma - Duluth, MN

About the role

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Works independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.
• Establishes and enhances positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
• Practices in an orthopedic trauma setting, primarily hospital-based with rotating trauma call coverage.
• Provides approximately 30 patients/day on inpatient census and 18 hours of clinic visits per week.
• May be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
• Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Qualifications

• Background working in orthopedics and trauma.
• Primarily hospital-based practice with 6 days of hospital coverage from 6am-4pm Sunday through Friday.
• Rotating trauma call coverage.

$58.35 - $81.69 / hour FTE
