NP/PA - Oncology Express Unit

About the role

ChristianaCare is hiring a highly motivated, self‑directed Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) for the Oncology Services team in the Oncology Express Unit (OEU) located within the Helen F Graham Cancer Center Building. The OEU is an award‑winning clinic that evaluates oncology patients with urgent and acute issues to prevent avoidable Emergency Department visits. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic APC with 3+ years’ experience in urgent/emergent evaluation and management of complex medical issues. The clinic provides on‑site laboratory and radiology support, and can administer blood transfusions, hydration, electrolyte replacement and other treatments after initial evaluation. Medical oversight is provided by primary oncology physicians, and the clinic serves patients from all oncology practices, including surgical oncology subspecialties and medical/hematology practices.

The region is connected by Amtrak and I‑95, providing access to excellent restaurants, entertainment, sporting venues, cultural events, and top colleges and universities. It is within 1‑3 hours of four international airports and major cities such as Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, D.C., as well as popular beach towns in MD, DE, NJ and ski resorts in PA and NY.
