Essential Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate assessment of patient's health, ranging from focused to comprehensive.
• Obtain patient health history from patient or guardian and review pertinent health records.
• Perform patient examination.
• Order pertinent diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Interprets health information and establishes diagnoses consistent with the accumulated data.
• Formulates treatment plan.
• Orders necessary medications and conservative therapies.
• Provide education and support to operative and non-operative patients.
• Make health record entries into electronic medical records and dictates according to standards.
• Work closely with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive care.
• Assist the physician as needed during clinic and provide appropriate care to patients.
• Completes as necessary with related office work: Coding, Patient form completion, Correspondence.
• Maintains current knowledge in the field of practice.
• Acts as a resource for nurse clinicians.
• Performs related work as assigned.

  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients, interpret medical data, identify normal and abnormal physical and radiology findings.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communicator, positive attitude, hard working, confident in skills.

    Qualifications

    • Position Qualifications:
      • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program PA program BC/BE through AANP or ANCC and also NCCPA.
      • Licensed or ability to obtain a NP license with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Nursing or PA license.
      • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
      • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
    • Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner / PA-C experience preferred.
