Essential Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate assessment of patient's health, ranging from focused to comprehensive.
- Obtain patient health history from patient or guardian and review pertinent health records.
- Perform patient examination.
- Order pertinent diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Interprets health information and establishes diagnoses consistent with the accumulated data.
- Formulates treatment plan.
- Orders necessary medications and conservative therapies.
- Provide education and support to operative and non-operative patients.
- Make health record entries into electronic medical records and dictates according to standards.
- Work closely with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive care.
- Assist the physician as needed during clinic and provide appropriate care to patients.
- Completes as necessary with related office work: Coding, Patient form completion, Correspondence.
- Maintains current knowledge in the field of practice.
- Acts as a resource for nurse clinicians.
- Performs related work as assigned.

- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients, interpret medical data, identify normal and abnormal physical and radiology findings.
- Detail oriented, ability to multitask.
- Excellent communicator, positive attitude, hard working, confident in skills.
Qualifications
- Position Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program PA program BC/BE through AANP or ANCC and also NCCPA.
- Licensed or ability to obtain a NP license with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Nursing or PA license.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
- Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner / PA-C experience preferred.
