NP/PA - Inpatient Psychiatry - St. Joseph
About the Role
Corewell Health South is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our inpatient psychiatric services team in St. Joseph, Michigan. The team includes two full-time psychiatrists and one Advanced Practitioner. Services provided include inpatient psychiatric care and consultation liaison services to medical floors and the Emergency Department.
Advanced Practitioners work a block-style schedule, alternating weeks on and off.
About the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit
- 26-bed inpatient unit, newly renovated (coming in 2027)
- Multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Night call coverage rotated between psychiatrists and PRN coverage; provided by phone only, with face-to-face coverage handled by Medical physicians overnight
- Weekend rounding consists of 1 psychiatrist and either a psychiatric advanced practice provider or another psychiatrist
- Every patient is seen daily
- Epic EMR system in use

With a history dating back to the 1800s, Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan, is a state-of-the-art facility with over 250 beds. Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant clinical experience (required)
- Current, relevant clinical experience (required)
- Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role (required)
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferred)
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan (required upon hire)
- LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan (required upon hire)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC (required within 90 days if applicable)
- CRT-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA (required within 120 days if applicable)
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA (required upon hire)
