Patient Population

Varied patient population with general surgery needs, some emergency general surgery and some colorectal as well

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of a dedicated team of 11 Advanced Practice Providers across five clinical locations, including IU Health West Hospital, IU North Hospital, Fishers Hospital, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital.
• Management of all aspects of employee relations, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
• Conducting performance evaluations, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring adherence to quality and patient safety standards.
• Maintaining an active clinical practice and providing direct patient care within their area of expertise.
• Cultivating a positive work environment and driving the ongoing success of the APP team and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Required
• Must be an ACNP, AGNP, or FNP or PA
• This position will support all APP's in the Division of General Surgery so onboarding will include all clinical locations and APP's in colorectal, MIS and Bariatric specialties.
• Must have strong clinical skills
• Must be willing to work in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions.
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with learners would be ideal.
