NP/PA - Cardiology - Fargo, ND
Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. May care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
About the role
Join our growing, collegial, and fast-paced Cardiology team offering multi-specialty services. This high-energy team is committed to customer service and high-quality care. Work collaboratively in a team-based model that includes 13 Physicians and 13 Advanced Practice Providers, along with a strong team of nurses, techs, and ancillary staff within our Heart & Vascular Department.
- Full-time position, 1.0 FTE
- Clinic schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- General cardiology & heart failure clinic
- Treat approximately 12 clinic patients per day
- 3–4 days of clinic outreach/telemedicine per month in regional locations for heart failure patients
- Supervision of stress testing
Cardiology background preferred. Requires licensure and DEA in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Skill set includes independent clinic visits, vast knowledge of heart & vascular pathophysiology, and strong patient communication and educational skills.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Advanced practice experience preferred
- Preferred background/experience in cardiology
Licensure/Certifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state (if NP); North Dakota and Minnesota required
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the appropriate state; North Dakota and Minnesota required
- Current certification in CPR & ACLS
- National certification in applicable area
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice

Pay
Compensation range: $57.42 – $80.39 per hour. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
Schedule
- Full-time, 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
- Day rotation, no weekends
