Primary Responsibilities

  • Rapidly formulate a differential diagnosis from assessments conducted within the clinic setting
  • Interpretation of tests
  • Counseling liaison to women's support group programs
  • Will conduct breast exams, gynecological disease and treatments, including prenatal care; colposcopy; placement of IUD's and general OB/GYN office procedures
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients assigned within the primary care team
  • Provide guidance to nursing personnel towards treatment plans and care issues
  • Documents treatment plans in the medical record
  • Documents collaborative guidance from the physician as needed
  • Coordination of care for patient
  • Required Qualifications

    • 1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an OB/GYN or Women's Health clinic setting
    • National Nurse Practitioner certification in Women's Health, Adult or Family or Certified Midwifery or Physician Assistant certification
    • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State where this position is based, or ability to obtain
    • Current DEA or ability to obtain

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate with patients, primary care team members and management staff
    • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
    • Intermediate level of technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or internet search for clinical practice
    • Able to formulate a differential diagnosis
    • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
    • Able to conceptualize the needs for the team or department and actualize plans for implementation
    • Able to develop plans of action and gain team consensus towards common goals
    • A background in managed care
    • Familiarity with ICD-9 coding
    • Pay

      The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $156,000 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
