NP Clinical Program Manager - Primary Care - Mount Sinai Doctors Williamsburg - Full Time Days

About the Role

The Clinical Program Manager ensures compliance with mandated clinical orientation, competency assessment, and interventions for designated nursing staff within the Medical Center. This role interfaces directly with MSMC Departments, Administrators, Nursing, Medical and Quality Leadership, and Clinical Staff to manage the educational and operational impact of clinical care delivery, staff performance, and outcome measures.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical operations within the program, using data and fact-based problem-solving techniques to improve processes and outcomes.
• Ensures clinical initiatives run according to institutional, departmental, and regulatory policies.
• Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, mentors, disciplines, and evaluates staff in alignment with internal policies.
• Communicates departmental or divisional values, strategies, and objectives regularly.
• Assigns accountabilities, delegates tasks, and plans, monitors, and appraises job performance.
• Develops, maintains, and reconciles the departmental budget with financial oversight.
• Plans, develops, and/or maintains departmental standard operating procedures.
• Reviews and recommends changes to policies and procedures as necessary.
• Coordinates educational and performance improvement activities within a designated clinical specialty in conjunction with Nursing, Medical, and Quality Leadership.
• Develops and designs action plans to support clinical performance, competency, and educational resources for nursing care delivery.
• Establishes and implements short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for high-level nursing care delivery.
• Leads the execution of day-to-day educational program activities aligned with program objectives and clinical expertise.
• Oversees the collection, compilation, and analysis of clinical program activity data to evaluate performance and competence.
• Provides technical assistance, resource services, consultation, and education related to orientation, competency assessment, and performance improvement.
• Serves as a clinical role model and resource to nursing staff.
• Prepares reports and analyses on new hire orientation, ongoing competency, staff performance, and outcome measures.
• Provides timely status reports identifying patterns and trends requiring action.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, and standards of care for designated patient populations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital, departmental, and care center standards, policies, and regulatory agency requirements.
• Ensures readiness for Joint Commission and other agency surveys and presents related programs during visits.
• Participates in daily activities reflecting budgetary constraints and incorporates financial principles into program development.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
• Participates in the performance appraisal process of designated nursing staff.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• New York State License with current registration as a registered professional nurse.
• 5 years of directly related experience, with some supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $115,494 – $192,328 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need and do not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation.
