NOW HIRING: YAC ADVISOR/ CREATIVE ASSISTANT

This is a part-time position located at our office in downtown Owosso.

About the role

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Advisor educates Youth Advisory Council members (middle school-high school) on the grant-making process and how youth philanthropy works within the community foundation. They set goals for the Youth Advisory Council and assist students in accomplishing those goals.

The Creative Assistant assists with the development of print materials including the annual report, brochures, invitations, electronic communications, newsletters, and form letters. They also regularly update the foundation’s website and other social media.

Responsibilities

• Educate Youth Advisory Council members on the grant-making process and youth philanthropy.
• Set and help accomplish goals for the Youth Advisory Council.
• Develop print materials such as the annual report, brochures, invitations, and form letters.
• Create and manage electronic communications and newsletters.
• Update the foundation’s website and social media platforms regularly.
