About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, calm, and reliable assistance with daily tasks, helping clients maintain structure and progress in their recovery.
• Build strong, supportive relationships without control, offering emotional and practical support in a way that empowers clients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and keeping the living environment organized, ensuring clients are engaged in the process.
• Help clients manage medical appointments and encourage physical and social activity, providing guidance without being overbearing.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in disability care, ideally 2 to 3 years, but the most important quality is compassion and an understanding approach.
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a reference from a personal or professional contact.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
