About the role
A.B.I. RESOURCES is hiring experienced team members to provide one-on-one care in clients' personal homes. The ideal candidate has at least one to two years of experience working with individuals recovering from strokes, concussions, and brain injuries in community settings. Responsibilities include supporting clients with daily activities such as shopping, medical appointments, and community outings.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living activities
- Transport clients to medical and therapeutic appointments
- Facilitate community engagement and social activities
- Assist with medication management and health monitoring
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Document client progress and communicate with family members
Requirements
Top consideration is given to candidates who are motivated to improve the lives of people with disabilities and have experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging medical, physical, and behavioral needs. Required experience includes:
- At least one to two years of experience in caregiving or related field
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends
Qualifications
Candidates must be able to pass a background check and regular drug screening. No prior experience in home health care is necessary as training will be provided.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a compassionate nature are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with home health care software is preferred.
