About the Role
Affect Therapeutics is transforming addiction recovery by combining mobile technology with counseling and medical care, offering 100% virtual treatment. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you'll lead member care, supported by a team of counselors and case managers. You'll deliver evidence-based treatment for Stimulant Use Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder via telehealth. Medication decisions are made at the provider's discretion, and the role does not involve prescribing controlled substances. You must hold an active, unrestricted license in the state you're applying for.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth evaluations after members complete biopsychosocial intakes.
- Monitor member progress through monthly appointments.
- Prescribe medications as needed and answer member questions.
- Complete notes in our EHR (Healthie) and follow clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with a supportive team and attend occasional meetings (scheduled in advance).
Requirements
- Full-practice, licensed PMHNP (Medicaid enrollment is a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in addiction treatment.
- Experience prescribing Suboxone and an active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration.
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure (cost covered by Affect).
- Empathy for members facing personal and emotional challenges.
- Comfort with technology, including EHRs and mobile apps.
- Private, quiet home office with reliable internet for HIPAA-compliant conversations.
