North Area Engineer

About the role

This position provides project management, direction, and leadership from inception to completion of projects and studies. It leads, facilitates, and negotiates agreements within Ramsey and Anoka Counties, serving as the primary contact for public agencies, project partners, and the public regarding project activities. The role establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the public, public officials, and internal & external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Licensure as a professional engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID).
• Three (3) years of post-registration engineering experience demonstrating knowledge of principles and practices of Pre-design, Final Design, Planning, Traffic Engineering, State Aid, and Construction.
• Experience in project management sufficient to prioritize and schedule multiple projects to meet letting schedules and to manage budgets and staff.
• Knowledge of MnDOT standards and federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and codes as they relate to transportation system planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation.
