Responsibilities
- Manages multiyear service contracts.
- Sends reports and recommendations of field inspections and investigations relevant to assigned work and maintains status records of all projects.
- Prepares and submits periodic progress reports on projects and reports on all project related issues that may impact the scope of work, schedule and cost of projects.
- Performs field inspections to check progress or completion of contract or in-house work.
- Prepares Contract Specifications, Cost Estimates, Work Orders and Requisitions.
- Engages in Engineering work.
- Performs investigations, studies and reviews.
- Promotes a workplace free from safety hazards.
- Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of subordinates.
Requirements
- A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
- Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with facilities, equipment and processes related to wastewater treatment.
- Effective Judgment & Decision Making reviewing information to develop and evaluate the relative costs and benefits of potential solutions to problems and choosing the most appropriate one.
- Quantitative Analysis & Interpretation: reviewing information to develop and evaluate the relative costs and benefits of potential solutions to problems and choosing the most appropriate one.
- Written Expression: the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written words.
