About the Role
Alyeska Nordic Spa is seeking a Nordic Spa Night Cleaner to ensure our facility begins each day "picture perfect." This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest readiness in our unique indoor-outdoor spa located in beautiful Girdwood, Alaska.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all spaces, both guest-facing and back-of-house, are "picture-perfect" for optimal first impressions.
- Vacuum, dust, clean, sweep, polish, and restock all guest areas and facilities.
- Clean all public spaces including bathrooms, showers, floors, elevators, kitchens, and walls of all Nordic Spa buildings.
- Execute assigned deliverables with minimal follow-up required, ensuring timeliness and quality.
- Complete deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Refill and restock guest amenities; remove and restock linens as required.
- Contribute to a collaborative workplace, supporting the spa’s values of community, common goals, and acceptance.
- Complete work processes and checklists that uphold the core value of Quality.
- Communicate, interact, and behave in alignment with the core value of Honesty.
- Support the core value of Family by fostering trust, respect, and gratitude in the workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, specifically in a spa or hotel, is preferred.
- Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and courtesy at all times.
- Highly organized, able to work independently under pressure, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Working Conditions
- Overnight shift in a closed facility, often working independently.
- Exposure to outdoor mountain weather conditions, with temperatures ranging from -22°F to +86°F.
- Early morning shifts, any day of the week or weekend, with occasional midday, afternoon, or evening shifts as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing and constant physical movement.
Physical Demands
- Regularly on feet with frequent reaching, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Independent work with temperature changes between back-of-house and front-of-house areas.
