About the role

Included on the Alyeska Resort grounds, each Nordic Spa experience is designed to be as unique as our guests. Located in the breathtaking Boreal forest, our spa offers a relaxing environment where guests can come as they are to connect with nature, themselves, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Alyeska Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable of the entire facility.
  • Prevent minor maintenance issues from becoming significant issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders.
  • Report and log all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own.
  • Complete washing schedules as assigned or outlined in daily checklists.
  • Take and test water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and adjust to maintain quality standards.
  • Check that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout their shift.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pool deck by cleaning, clearing, and maintaining all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
  • Absolutely complete assigned tasks in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Contribute to a collaborative workplace, supporting the Spa value of community, common goals, and acceptance.
  • Show pride in work by creating positive energy, teamwork, excitement, and fun.
  • Complete work processes and checklists seamlessly support the Spa value that we respect our guest's inherent desire to be at peace.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous Spa or Hotel Maintenance experience preferred
  • Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license preferred
  • Able to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly
  • Good judgment around safety and guest experience
  • Comfortable with technology and open to new learning
  • Must possess professional presentation
  • Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently; both independently and cohesively as part of the team.
  • Ability to focus on attention to detail, remaining professional and courteous at all times
