Nontenure Faculty Pool - Health Informatics & Information Management
About the role
The Department of Health Informatics & Information Management invites applications to a candidate pool for temporary/nontenured faculty positions. These positions may involve teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, with appointments ranging from one to four courses per semester. Teaching assignments are determined each semester based on student demand and departmental needs.
Eligibility for reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations, continued funding, and program requirements. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos or Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on departmental needs.
This posting is for potential teaching opportunities during the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. Note that this is a candidate pool posting and does not guarantee an immediate opening.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in health informatics and information management at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Deliver instruction in-person, online, or in a hybrid format as needed.
- Adhere to departmental and university teaching standards and expectations.
