Nonprofit Accountant

About the role

The Accountant at Voices of Hope is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, grant compliance, and timely reporting across multiple funding streams. Working closely with the Executive Director and Finance Team, the Accountant ensures that financial practices align with nonprofit accounting standards and the mission and values of Voices of Hope.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records
• Support day-to-day accounting operations
• Ensure financial integrity and grant compliance
• Timely reporting across multiple funding streams
• Work closely with the Executive Director and Finance Team
• Align financial practices with nonprofit accounting standards and mission/values

Requirements

• Hands-on nonprofit accounting experience
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct
• Genuine commitment to supporting person-centered, recovery-oriented services
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment
