About the role

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a student-focused professional to serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff while supporting student success initiatives within the Wright Center.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with academic advisors, faculty, staff, students, and administrative personnel to identify risk indicators and support data-informed retention and transfer strategies.
  • Monitor and support student academic progress through outreach, individualized success planning, and student-focused programming.
  • Communicate regularly with students, provide guidance and referrals to appropriate campus resources, and monitor student progress toward academic success.
  • Advocate for and contribute to campus-wide retention initiatives and recommend strategies to improve student persistence and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including contact logs, case notes, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with established operational procedures, university policies, program requirements, and applicable federal regulations.
  • May assist students with FAFSA completion and provide general financial aid and scholarship information.
  • Serve as a back-up School Certifying Official for military-connected education benefits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with internal and external customer service principles.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • Experience with retention and transfer strategies.
  • Knowledge of military-connected education benefits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

The position offers an annual salary of $46,000 and is full-time, benefit-eligible.
