*Non-Tenure-Track: Lecturer, Biology Anthropology

About the Role

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Fordham University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in biological anthropology, starting January 2027. The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate level, with a focus on biological anthropology. Lecturers at Fordham are participants in the Service Employees International Union Local 200 United.

Responsibilities

• Teach an introductory course covering the broader field of biological anthropology.
• Develop and teach more focused courses aligned with the candidate’s specialization.
• Primary teaching location will be Fordham College’s Rose Hill campus (Bronx), with the possibility of future teaching or service at the Lincoln Center campus (Manhattan) or in interdisciplinary programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biological anthropology or a related field must be in hand at the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level is required.
• An active research and publication program is appreciated but not required.

Pay

Salary range: $76,250.
