Non-Paid University - Nurse Interns - 2026-2027

Leander ISD is currently evaluating several potential models in light of the changing situation, and following guidance established by local, state, and federal leaders. Applicants, new employees, and current staff should be prepared for possible variations in campus assignments, hours of operation, and modifications to job duties. These changes may not be known until the school year begins and will depend on developments in managing COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations.

Requirements

• If hired, first-time applicants for an initial credential must undergo fingerprinting as part of a national criminal background check (cost up to $49.00).
• This position is for individuals currently pursuing Texas Teaching Certification through a university or an alternative certification program.

About the Role

Interns are students who will be placed in a campus setting for a few hours each week to observe and assist the nurse as needed.
