Non-Destructive Testing Technician

About the role

Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on Railcar Tank Cars. Interpret drawings, read procedures, and interpret welding symbols. Complete detailed reports in PDF, Excel, and Word format.

Responsibilities

• Use NDT equipment (e.g., Epoch 600, Epoch 650, Epoch 6LT, Olympus 45MG, Magnetic Yoke, Everest XL Pro Video Scope).
• Interpret technical drawings, procedures, and welding symbols.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports using PDF, Word, and Excel.

Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods with limited breaks.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and team-lift up to 150 pounds.
• Work in extreme temperatures and outdoor elements for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
• Read and comprehend basic drawings and scope of work.
• Possess basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
• Pass a Visual Acuity Exam and Color Contrast Exam or Shades of Gray Exam.
