Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks safely
- Comply with safety and DOT regulations, receive continuous training, and provide excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency standards
- Eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines outlined in the contract
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test, Background Check, and Motor Vehicle Check
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Yard Driver Examination
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements (if applicable)
- Flexibility to operate and self-drive in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, and excellent time management
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work on various shifts
- Work using health and safety methods
- Create and maintain professional relationships within the organization
