About the role

The role of Hospitalist at Hudson Valley Hospital is to provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients under the supervision of attending physicians. This includes managing patient care, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the hospital setting
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Manage patient care plans and coordinate with primary care providers
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings
• Assure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Current New York State Medical License
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Experience in hospital-based medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Passing scores on all required exams (USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK, COMLEX Level 1, COMLEX Level 2)
