About the role

Department: Pulmonary Physicians

Job Summary: Responsible for providing care to patients during their stay at a hospital. Their duties include managing schedules for inpatient treatments and coordinating care providers, ordering tests and maintaining medical records for their patients.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on patient care, discuss patient care with nurses and resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Coordinate care between different doctors caring for a patient, serve as point of contact for hospital staff and maintain communication with the patient’s family.
  • Service on committees and work to help improve efficiency, patient care and infection control while fostering teamwork and improving communication between staff and physicians.
  • Serve as a working liaison between administration and physicians.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited medical school and completed accredited residency program and fellowship for specialist, or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Required Licenses: Work Experience: MD-Physician - State Medical Board

Skills

Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.

Pay

$239,400.00 - $281,100.00 / yr (Pay range listed is for 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE). See Work Type for actual FTE)

Schedule

Shift Work Type: PRN/Intermittent
