NOC Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, resident-centered nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents.
• Monitor resident health, document observations, and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate residents and families on care plans.
• Ensure rooms are ready for new admissions and participate in orientation.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN license.
• Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to make independent decisions and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Patience, tact, and a positive attitude, especially with elderly and diverse populations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Physical Demands & Environment

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
• May work beyond normal hours, including call-back during emergencies.
• Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and hazardous chemicals is possible (standard for healthcare).
