The Florence Township School District is seeking three Math Teachers to provide tutoring services funded by Title I. The positions are part-time, not exceeding 9 hours per week, and will be scheduled during lunch periods: Period 4, 6, and 8 at Florence Township Memorial High School.
About the role
- Provide academic support to students in mathematics
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Adhere to the district's curriculum and instructional standards
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in mathematics
- Assess student understanding and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics preferred
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of New Jersey Core Content Curriculum for Mathematics
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
