About the Role
The Prevention Consultant (Bilingual) collaborates with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, and assemblies for youth and families within the NJ4S COMPASS MONMOUTH program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes, and evaluation of services for the target population.
- Facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies for all schools in the HUB vicinage.
- Attend events and meetings related to prevention and community services as needed.
- Plan and implement programs for schools and communities.
- Establish alliances with organizations sharing similar goals, such as school boards, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community centers.
- Serve as a customer service role model to ensure positive interactions with all program participants.
- Implement evidence-based prevention services with fidelity to curricula.
- Schedule and assist program collaborators on best practices related to prevention science for HUB participants.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- Three years of relevant work experience.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and safe driving record in accordance with Agency guidelines; vehicle availability to meet transportation needs.
- Satisfactory background check, including fingerprinting results as per DCF/DOE regulations.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Prevention Science certification a plus.
Skills
- Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Excel, Word, and professional electronic record-keeping portals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, using a trauma-informed approach.
- Excellent managerial and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures as outlined in the HR Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Familiarity with organizational policy and procedure.
