Bilingual Health and Safety Specialist

What You'll Do
- Conduct weekly and monthly safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Perform daily production floor walkthroughs to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and collaborate with leaders to resolve safety concerns.
- Aid in developing, implementing, and maintaining company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and deliver safety education and training for team members.
- Conduct housekeeping audits and safety observations.
- Assist with job hazard analyses and ergonomic assessments to reduce workplace risks.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, corrective actions, and employee safety documentation.
- Cookcare for injured team members and assist with return-to-work activities.
- Participate in accident investigations and help implement corrective actions, including preparing safety alerts when necessary.
- Support the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager with additional safety and environmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Health & Safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and workplace safety practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and gain buy-in across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Willingness to become a First Aid/CPR Instructor.
Preferred Skills
- Experience conducting safety training and presentations.
- Experience with accident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to analyze safety data and recommend improvements.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Standing and walking throughout manufacturing facility.
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 36 -50 lbs., and consistently lifts up to 25 lbs.
