NJ Certified High School Health and PE Teacher (2026-2027)

About the role

Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) seeks Middle School Teachers who are committed to continuously improving curriculum and instruction through collaboration as part of a grade level team. Teachers will have and be able to do the following:

Responsibilities

• Expert in content knowledge in Health and PE including flexibility to incorporate non-traditional content such as Yoga. Mindfulness etc
• Able to create videos for virtual PE instruction (grades 6, 7 and 8)
• Able to post videos and check in with students during advisory
• Able to cover classes as needed
• Flexibility with regard to assignment/re-assignment; i.e. ability to teach small group enrichment classes and offer tutoring support
• Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior
• Will be accountable for students’ mastery of academic standards
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Minimum of (2) years teaching experience in an effective public charter or public school setting
• Quantifiable track record of outstanding academic results
• Valid State Certification (CE, CEAS, Standard)
