Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and oncall system administration and operational support for multiple mission systems at Cheyenne Mountain.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system performance issues affecting mission operations.
- C Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including applying patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
- Provide user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution.
- Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
- Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with higher-tier support, and closure documentation.
- Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations.
- Support system administration and basic database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
- Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit standards.
- Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, role continuity, and support to management status reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission-critical (DoD or similar) environments.
- Expertise in system administration and troubleshooting to support multiple mission systems.
- Strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and operational readiness.
- Experience providing responsive user support and training.
- Proficiency in managing process documentation, operational logs, and incident/deficiency reports.
- Experience supporting incident response, backup/restore, and documentation activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Ability to support performance optimization efforts and oversee compliance with procedural and documentation standards.
- Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
- Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred: – Cloud+ – GSEC – Security+ – SSCP
