About the Role
We are seeking a Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at Live! at the Pointe Orlando, our premier 37,000 square-foot dining and entertainment destination. This multi-level venue features unparalleled dining, cocktails, hospitality, high-energy sports watch parties, live music, nightlife, and events. The role involves supervising food and/or beverage outlets while ensuring compliance with service standards, safety regulations, and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with service standards and operating procedures.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local health, safety, and compliance regulations.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of food and/or beverage outlets or assigned operational areas.
- Plan, organize, and communicate policies and procedures to staff.
- Recommend or initiate staffing-related actions (e.g., salary adjustments, disciplinary measures) in accordance with company policies.
- Alert management to potentially serious operational issues.
- Ensure all staff are properly trained, certified, and equipped to perform their roles.
- Greet guests upon arrival and address complaints using established service recovery guidelines.
- Assist in creating innovative programs and promotions to market menu items, increase sales, and boost guest patronage.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menus and local food/beverage marketing programs.
- Monitor restaurant performance through guest feedback and financial analysis; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain procedures for inventory security, financial transactions, supply replenishment, and cost control.
- Participate in inventory management and waste reduction efforts.
- Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses/labor costs, and maximize profitability.
- Assist in preparing the annual operating budget.
- Ensure restaurant equipment (e.g., coffee machines, registers) is operational and cleaned regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of restaurant facilities based on anticipated business volumes.
- Coordinate special events scheduled for the venue.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Hospitality Management degree or some college preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant, nightclub, or similar setting.
- Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills for guest, employee, and third-party interactions.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and completing management reports, inventory orders, and instructions.
- Mathematical skills for budgeting, profit/loss analysis, percentages, and variance tracking.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit/health card as required by local/state regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move safely around the venue, handle food/utensils, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, or kneeling.
Schedule
- May require nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
