Night Shift Operations Manager

About the Role

This position manages the product output in the Cable manufacturing areas, providing support and guidance to supervisors. The role ensures consistency in job delegation, placement, hiring, performance, and discipline while implementing programs to reduce scrap, rework, and improve product quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage supervisors’ efforts in production, maintenance, quality, personnel, raw materials, shipping, and manufacturing processes.
• Oversee quality initiatives, results, customer complaints, and troubleshooting for supervisors.
• Implement continuous process improvement.
• Plan and manage the flow of product.
• Facilitate information flow between departments and supervisors.
• Administer company policies consistently.
• Meet customer quality, delivery, and special request requirements.
• Plan staffing and manpower needs for current and future demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or Engineering.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Background in managing labor, materials, and costs.

Decision-Making Authority

• Direct manufacturing areas to achieve goals for on-time shipments, product flow, and scheduling.
• Make personnel administration decisions based on company policies.
• Determine product quality standards.
• Set staffing and manpower levels.
