Night Operations Assistant Store Manager
Night Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (NOASM-IT) will gain hands-on experience in the key responsibilities and functions of a Night Operations Assistant Store Manager at The Home Depot. The program includes a comprehensive training curriculum with mentorship, leadership development, and Manager on Duty duties. Trainees will oversee overnight freight operations, collaborate with Night Replenishment Managers (NRMs) on unload, pack out, and pack down processes, and work with Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers (ASMs), and field teams to develop sales and profitability strategies.
Responsibilities
- Customer Experience (10%) – Supervise associates in selling efforts, lead GET culture, and set the example. Drive customer service and associate engagement, resolve customer concerns effectively, and take necessary actions to address situations promptly.
- Operations Management (15%) – Perform Opening, Closing MOD, and other whole-store focus responsibilities. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, ensure associates follow them, and maintain command of store standard operating procedures (SOPs), particularly Safety compliance. Learn tactics to maintain process accuracy and mitigate shrink.
- Safety (15%) – Ensure self and associates follow all safety and hazmat procedures and Safety Matters guidelines at all times.
- Sales and Productivity (10%) – Collaborate with key partners on merchandise placement, signing, and stock integrity through inventory management. Learn to operate all store equipment and systems, and manage daily financial operations.
- Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position (50%) – Participate in a structured training program covering retail store management, including operations, customer service, sales & profitability, and company policies. Learn to support key accountabilities: staffing and scheduling, resolving stock deficiencies, supervising selling behaviors, addressing customer issues, and supporting service needs for installed sales/special orders. Demonstrate performance management processes, including associate reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary. Complete all assigned training modules and assessments.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (preferred).

Travel Requirements
