About the role
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the nighttime operation of the store, overseeing clerks, stocking shelves, ordering and receiving product, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
- Ensure proper handling and merchandising of all products according to company policy.
- Display and express complete knowledge of all products to customers.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
- Oversee the entire Third Shift store operation, including shelf conditions, stock levels, product leveling, blocking, and out-of-stock signage.
- Schedule all Night Crew Associates and manage Front End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery Department and meeting transmission times.
- Store excess product in the Back Room or designated area and maintain merchandising standards (e.g., shelf allocation and sale items).
- Assist with hiring, training and development of new Night Crew Associates in grocery operations.
- Administer discipline or recommend discipline of Night Crew Associates according to company policy.
- Perform all refrigeration and security procedures during third shift and conduct weekly and nightly resets.
- Unload warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
- Evaluate performance and progress of Store Associates and ensure productivity measures meet standards.
- Implement and maintain corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
- Protect company inventory and assets; control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
