Night Driver Lead

About the role

Odeko is an operations and technology partner for independent coffee shops and cafes. The Odeko team supports these businesses through a web portal and mobile app, helping them increase revenue, reduce costs, and streamline vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Driver & Vehicle Readiness: Ensure drivers complete the pre-shift safety checklist and vehicles are in good condition. Monitor fleet maintenance, report issues, and coordinate service.
• Asset Management: Ensure all assets are properly signed out and in at the start and end of shifts.
• Loadout Preparation: Oversee van readiness and ensure correct products are loaded onto routes.
• Audit Oversight: Verify delivery audits and ensure correct products are loaded onto correct routes. Ensure drivers sign off on manifests and key audits.
• Driver Support: Equip drivers with necessary tools and resources, serve as backup driver when needed, and maintain route coverage.
• Route Performance Monitoring: Monitor delivery performance, investigate behind schedule routes, and escalate issues to AGM. Review telematics for traffic and delays.
• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Investigate delivery issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in last-mile delivery operations, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to coach and mentor drivers.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Familiarity with driver/delivery safety and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and product auditing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Schedule

M - F 6 PM - 2 AM

Pay

$29 - $31/hr
