Responsibilities
- Oversight of drivers and daily operations of the APC transportation department
- Create and manage schedules and routes
- Train new hires and ensure all drivers complete required trainings
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback
- Cookordination with the intake department for new consumers, and with APC programs for existing consumers, to set up transportation
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and items required by state and local laws
- Schedule all inspections and maintenance for the fleet
- Drive consumers to and from Adult Partial Care programs
- Transport consumers scheduled for medication visits and psychiatric evaluations, as needed
- Organize and keep records regarding transportation schedule and mileage
- Adequately adhere to all safety regulations, including mandatory fastening of seatbelts of driver and all passengers
- Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness
- Complete supervisions for drivers per agency standards
- Collaborate with program coordinators to ensure transportation is scheduled for clients scheduled on scheduled days
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license in good standing
- A good driving record verifiable with the state
- The ability to drive a 15 passenger van
- A CDL is preferred
