Responsibilities
- Balancing and closing previous business day
- Completing daily financial reports
- Managing person in charge duties during overnight shift
- Ensuring security protocols are followed
- Aiding guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
- Performing the manager-on-duty role during 3rd shift
- Anticipating and responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner
- Providing the highest level of service
- Processing check-ins and check-outs
- Verifying billing and creating reservations
- Assisting guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation
- Working independently or in a team to meet guests' needs
- Understanding and following CSM guest service recovery program
- Accurately balancing all revenue sources and completing daily financial reports
- Processing no-show reservations
- Preparing financial reports for managerial review
- Closing the financial day for the hotel
- Using proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues
- Maintaining room availability and following booking policies and procedures
- Up-selling rooms and amenities
- Handling cash and processing financial transactions according to CSM procedures
- Producing required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing duties
- Working on assigned additional projects, stocking supplies, and assisting other overnight staff as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state, and federal regulations
- Following all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents
- Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ years prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Prior night audit or accounting experience preferred
- Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills
- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED required
