At Hotel Santa Barbara, a charming and historic boutique hotel in downtown Santa Barbara, you’ll be a key part of a team that creates destinations, not pit stops. As the Night Auditor, you’ll balance revenue and expense transactions, oversee front desk operations, and ensure every guest leaves with a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest encountered and assist with all guest needs within your capabilities.
• Post room charges, taxes, and other revenues to guest accounts; transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
• Verify all account postings and balances.
• Track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
• Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities; summarize results of operations for management.
• Complete proper filing and reporting of statistics.
• Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
• Operate property management systems and other front office equipment.
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures.
• Handle and resolve guest complaints.
• Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, proper telephone etiquette, and legible writing.
• Send and receive faxes and copies.
• Perform Manager on Duty functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Effective conflict management and decision-making abilities.
• U.S. work authorization (required).

Pay

$22.00 per hour.
