Responsibilities
- Oversee the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions
- Roll up your sleeves and assist teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy
- Provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America
- Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs
- Continuously exemplify and live by our company culture

- Complete all required training
- Work independently and serve as key role for overnight hotel support
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
- Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and guest service
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
- Balance the day’s business in a neat, orderly, and timely fashion
- Work all night shifts and be available for other front desk shifts as necessary
- Have knowledge of all hotel systems including phone PBX, key lock, and PMS reservation systems
- Complete all tasks described on the relevant shift checklist
- Check credit of guest accounts daily and follow up if action is required
- Keep knowledge of the surrounding area
- Maintain a secure and balanced cash drawer throughout the shift
- Sell and upsell rooms to walk-in guests and phone reservations
- Have general knowledge of housekeeping
Requirements
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company, including financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues
- Be responsible for the safety and security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets
- Have knowledge of the fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
- Report to scheduled shifts on time
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be organized, honest, and work well with others
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personal appearance
- Work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Demonstrate the highest degree of integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule
- Embody values of dedication, innovation, respect, excellence, community focus, and service
- Bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch; lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
- Perform work for 8 hours in a restrictive space/environment
- Have eyesight enabling both near and far vision
- Use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
- Work overnight independently
- Handle pressure situations appropriately
- Have finger dexterity for operating equipment such as a computer PMS
- Remember property computer systems to check guests in and out, adjust reservations, review balances, and perform other computer-related tasks per brand training
- Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
- Write effectively to communicate shift and guest needs
