About the role
The night auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining accurate financial records. They manage the front desk, handle reservations, and assist with various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and checking them into their rooms
- Responding to guests' requests and coordinating with other hotel staff
- Handling the reservation process
- Taking payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing end-of-day reports
- Posting room charges and taxes to guest accounts
- Assisting with valet services
- Ensuring the front desk area is clean and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three to five years of related experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Thorough knowledge of computer processing systems and manual operations
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs and budgetary analysis
- Ability to handle a high workload volume with organization and control
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 15 lbs., and performing repetitive motions
Qualifications
- Valid ABL Server License issued by the state of South Carolina within 30 days of hire
- Completed the South Carolina state-approved ServSafe Alcohol Online Course & Exam within 30 days of hire
