Responsibilities
- Balancing and auditing room revenue, cashier’s reports, and guest and house accounts.
- Auditing telephone revenue.
- Assisting with the preparation of all relevant daily revenues reports and supporting documents.
- Transmitting credit card batches.
- Acting as hotel system liaison during night hours.
- Performing Guest Service Representative functions, including booking room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, and notifying guests of messages.
- Using basic mathematical skills and making accurate calculations using a 10-key.
- Dealing effectively with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- Making responsible judgments on guest issues during the overnight shift.
- Making corrections and adjustments and handling computer problems that may occur during the shift.
- Having good trouble-shooting skills.
- Answering routine questions from co-workers.
- Maintaining control over daily tasks within the department or work unit.
- Interacting with others when necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintaining complete confidentiality of all company information at all times.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
- Ability to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Supervisory Responsibility
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

The employee must apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The employee must deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
