About the Role
Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a NICU RN, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental, state, and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and care team members to provide individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The role serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while supporting the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Coordinate care in collaboration with medical providers and multidisciplinary team members.
- Apply established nursing models (e.g., "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage") to guide patient care.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
- Support the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
