Job Summary and Qualifications
The NICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process. They direct all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice and regulatory guidelines. They incorporate knowledge of patient's age-specific development and cultural values into the care plan.
The NICU RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration. This position may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
