About the role

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This position is under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor and is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the care of coupleting postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical care duties as assigned.
• Direct all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Incorporate knowledge of patient’s age-specific development and cultural values into the plan of care.
• Contribute to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care.
• May include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree.
• Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
