Our neonatal team cares for newborns who require specialized monitoring and interventions in a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment, with established pathways for higher-acuity support when clinically indicated.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity NICU setting, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and performing necessary procedures.
  • Utilize ventilator management (neonatal), CPAP / HFNC management, phototherapy management, and thermoregulation & incubator care techniques to stabilize and improve the health of newborns.
  • Implement and adhere to the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) guidelines during emergencies.
  • Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR system.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Provide education and emotional support to families, helping them understand their newborn's condition and care requirements.
  • Participate in emergency response and rapid stabilization efforts, demonstrating quick decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Continually update knowledge and skills to keep pace with the latest advancements in neonatal care.

Requirements

  • Current and valid RN license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Proven experience in ventilator management (neonatal), CPAP / HFNC management, phototherapy management, and thermoregulation & incubator care.
  • Strong ability to provide family education & support in a NICU setting.
  • Proficiency in EMR documentation and clinical charting.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly stabilize patients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Pay

$55,000 - $90,000 per year
