NICET II Fire Alarm Inspector
About the role
Position provides oversight, direction and coordination for all Fire Protection operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at assigned jobsite to ensure adherence to contractual objectives. Position also coordinates activities of electronic control systems including, but not limited to automatic doors, vehicle gates, master clock systems and VTE maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform O & M Management administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems relating to assigned contract(s).
- Oversight and Management of NICET Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Technicians and sub-contractors.
- Monitor management plans designed to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.
- Schedule work to be performed.
- Manage and commit contract resources, monitor budgets on assigned contracts.
- Responsible for the safety of all personnel on job, including sub-personnel, compliance with environment standards and quality of work performed.
- Research and address customer complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 6 years' experience in managing, planning, and implementing fire safety programs and procedures, in accordance with local, state and federal regulations as well as company policies.
- NICET Level 2 in Fire Alarm Systems or NICET Level 2 in Special Hazards Systems.
- Knowledgeable of NFPA and UFC Fire Protection standards.
- Knowledge of various Fire Alarm Manufacturers: including but not limited to Edwards, Simplex, Siemens, Gamewell, Notifier.
- Knowledge of various Fire Protection systems: Conventional & Addressable Alarm systems, Mass Notification / Voice Evac, Monaco transceivers and D21 head end, Wet & Dry Sprinkler systems, Deluge, Pre-action, and Foam systems, CO2 and kitchen suppression systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures.
- Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education

Pay
The range pay for this position is $100,000-$110,000.
